An even closer look, a close-up view to widen the visual field and set in motion the imagination of the viewer. A look that decreases the distance, a direct grip between the work and the viewer.

Wall Monitors, emphasizes this aspect, large and small details coexist in a ZOOM IMAGES that develops in immediate steps, of various sizes, on six canvases, which simulate video - monitors.

From March 1 to April 1, 2023, Galerie Bernard presents a new exhibition consisting of works from its own collection. 

 

For the first time gathered here, these works come from a selection of acquisitions made by Galerie Bernard since its 25 years of existence. 

 

Among other artist present is the work of Eduardo Roda’ - Black Detail .

Synopsis

 

FROM THE DARK REMOVED

 A film of “ Creative Gestures”  by the artist Eduardo Roda’

 

-        a film for a painting : Loading Image 7, in the artist’s studio – Montreal 2014

 

The times of painting are independent of the times that govern life, but at the same time they are part of it. 

 

The timing of painting is marked by the creative process that marks the passage of time and pictorial days.

 

The long creative process and the act of painting mark the passage of time. The shapes characterized by the various grays are brought to light. 

 

Bringing to light the forms on the surface that remain settled in the most absolute black.

 

The succession of night and day is established, leaving the black times becomes essential.

 

The screen and canvas in uninterrupted dialogue fix for our gaze the moments of the gestures of creation

Da tempo volevo condividere con voi, questi due video, messi assieme nel 2014 e nel 2015.

Il primo Proscenium, presenta l’installazione “ Proscenio” del 2000, alla Casa della Cultura Ahuntsic-Cartierville di Montreal, il secondo nella sua versione riveduta ed allungata, presenta: la Mini-Retrospettiva di opere dal 1971 al 2008, alla Galerie Bernard di Montreal.
